Newly signed band Lower is set to release their full-length debut album, “Seek Warmer Climes,” on June 17 through Matador Records/Escho/Big Love.

Lower comprises Kristian Emdal, Simon Formann, Adrian Toubro and Anton Rothstein

Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, the experimental punk group has already released several songs, including a four-song EP. They formed in 2009.
For a punk band who’s not shy about the fact that they use a cello in their music also shows they’re not afraid of alienating any true-to-form punk purists.
Watch a live studio version of the bass-heavy “Bastard Tactics,” with that cello.

Here’s what the band said about this previously unreleased song:
“The song is concerned with the pursuit of company in night life, and the realization that the way we have come to praise this is not always in vogue with what it really does to people. Losing your true self and awkwardly resorting to bastard tactics to bring in game, is a universal feeling.”

The band is on tour around the United States, supported at some shows by Fucked Up.

Listen to the song “Lost Weight, Perfect Skin.”
