Death From Above 1979, or DFA 1979 if you’re in a hurry, today released a stream of their new album, “The Physical World,” through iTunes. The album is out Sept. 9 on Last Gang/Warner Bros.

The dance-punk band is set to play a show at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade Records on Sept. 8, and on Sept. 10, they’ll appear on the Late Show with David Letterman.

“The Physical World” was prduced by D. Sardy, who worked with Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, Wolfmother and Oasis. This new album comes a decade after “You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine,” and three years after bassist and synth player Jesse Keeler and vocalist/drummer Sebastien Grainger got back together following a 2006 breakup.
