Parquet Courts is scheduled to play on Letterman tonight.
Don’t forget to switch the tube on tonight: Brooklyn’s own Parquet Courts (or Parkay Quarts if you please) will be on the “Late Show with David Letterman” tonight. This indie-punk band is one of the hardest-working outfits these days, so expect a quality, kickass show.
Max Savage better hold onto his drums. Dave Letterman is ready to buy them, according to this mini Dave montage. “Are those your drums or are those rentals?…. Are these yours?….. Those are very nice. ….. How old are those? …. What sex are they?…. Those are beautiful.”
Parkay Quarts’ new album, “Content Nausea” is also available on LP starting today, while Parquet Courts will set foot on their latest tour, starting Jan. 24 in Baltimore. A bevy of supporting bands will also be there, including Nots, a hot punk band from Memphis, Priests, Whatever Brains and Sheer Mag.
