“Young Girls” go wild in Pins’ latest video

The “Young Girls” in Pins’ latest video are pretty bad-ass.

The British quartet looking down into the trunk of a car, tossing a bloody bat and burning clothes in a fire speak volumes. But don’t blame the Girls for being diabolical: they were just looking for something to do in Manchester.

PINS are Faith Vern (vocals/guitar), Anna Donigan (bass), Lois Macdonald (guitar) and Sophie Galpin (drums).

“We’re not trying to be great/We don’t want to be saved,” they sing.

“Young Girls” is one of the brighter, poppier songs on the Pins’ multi-layered record “Wild Nights.” The album shows the band’s maturity, dexterity and ability to cross genres — from punk to pop to rock, to slow-simmering, introspective garage anthems.

“Wild Nights” will be released June 9 on Bella Union.
